Sedation Dentistry – The Next Big Thing

It used to be that only major patients undergoing major surgeries were able to receive sedation in the dental chair, these days, however, Sedation Dentistry is becoming more and more popular for less traumatic procedures. One of the top reasons people don’t go to the dentist is out of fear and anxiety, but with Sedation Dentistry virtually all anxiety can be eliminated to create a relaxing and even enjoyable experience. There are two types of Sedation Dentistry: Oral Sedation and IV Sedation. Oral Sedation involves a patient taking a small pill prior to the dental work which will make them very relaxed, but they will stay conscious throughout the work. IV Sedation involves being put under- in other words, you will be completely asleep throughout the entire process. In both cases, a driver will need to be arranged ahead of time to take you home as you will be groggy for a while after.

Ask your Dentist today if Sedation Dentistry is an option for you.

Improving the Health of Your Teeth and More with Dental Bonding

There are a number of dental problems that are commonly remedied using dental bonding. Cosmetic dentists are able to use the composite resin to improve the appearance of teeth front or back teeth, restore damaged teeth and protect teeth from future damage. Dental bonding is even used to cover natural flaws in the teeth.

Composites are often the solution used to repair decayed teeth, make cosmetic improvements and even reshaped the teeth.  Dental Bonding will lighten any stains you may have or change the overall color of your teeth. A thin coating of a plastic material on the front surface of your teeth, hardened with high-intensity light, and your smile can be completely made over.

There are many cosmetic dentistry procedures designed to improve the appearance and health of your teeth. A consultation with a cosmetic dentist is the first step in determining which procedures will best meet your individual needs. Need help finding a cosmetic dentist near you? My Dentist USA can help.

Missing Teeth – Dental Implants

Replacing and re-creating the natural function and appearance of missing teeth can be a very difficult feat to accomplish realistically. Prior to the recent advancements in cosmetic dentistry, dentures or bridge restorations would be used as replacements, but with limited or constricted results. Dental implants, however, are long lasting natural-looking replacements for missing teeth that also provide the same function as your natural tooth root. They have also been used to anchor these other types of restorations for greater success and satisfaction.

There are a number of restorative options for the treatment of missing teeth, but none have proven to be as functionally effective and durable as dental implants. In many cases, dental implants may be the best choice for the restoration of all necessary functionality of the teeth and supporting structures as well as providing a natural looking solution. Dental implants are an excellent way of replacing a single tooth without the disadvantages of a fixed bridge or removable dentures. It is the ideal treatment for a single missing tooth because it does not effect your adjacent teeth. That means no grinding or crowning of your natural teeth for bridges, and no clasps for removable partial dentures.

A consultation with a skilled cosmetic dentist is needed to determine if dental implants are right for you. Need help finding a cosmetic dentist in your area? My Dentist USA can help you locate a dentist near you.

Dental Crowns

Dental Crowns are beneficial for men and women with crack, deteriorating, week, discolored, slightly misshapen teeth or a tooth that’s had to be filled many times. A Dental Crown is actually a tooth-like cover that is made out of either base-metal alloy, gold alloy, porcelain-fused-to-metal, all-ceramic or all-porcelain, depending on your preference and the cover fits securely over the troubled tooth or teeth as may be the case.

These Dental Crown covers protect the damaged tooth or teeth from further deteriorating and can cover up tooth discoloration or help to support a tooth that’s undergone a lot of fillings. Crowns used to come in only one options, the dark, ugly metal kind that are easily spotted in the mouth. However, new advances in the Dentistry have now enabled more realistic-looking results. The Dental Crowns available today can be made to match your exactly natural coloring of your teeth so that they blend in effortlessly to your mouth. Check out some examples of Cerec Crowns and Cerec All-Porcelain Crowns in our Before and After Dental Crowns Photo Gallery!

Changing Your Smile with Dental Veneers

There are many dental procedures designed to improve the appearance of your mouth. One procedure that can be used to remedy a number of dental imperfections with little hassle is Dental Veneers. One of the most common reasons people consider Veneers is to cover teeth that have become yellow. Chipped, and crooked teeth can also be covered using dental veneers.
For some, dental veneers are a good alternative to crowns. A very thin piece of specially shaped porcelain or plastic is attached over the front of your teeth to cover imperfections in your smile. needing very little or no anesthesia, veneers are easily put into place. The appearance of the veneers, when applied by a licensed cosmetic dentist, is natural and virtually unnoticeable.
Very different from crowns, veneers do not require the cosmetic dentist to remove a significant amount of the tooth. In most cases, very little tooth is removed . This is important to you because it cuts down on the possibility of trauma to your tooth. After the tooth is prepared, the veneer is cemented into place giving you that picture perfect smile.
Whether you are wanting to cover chipped, yellow or crooked teeth, Veneers may be the solution you have been looking for. My Dentist USA can help you find a dentist experienced in placing veneers in your area. Click here to begin your search for a skilled cosmetic dentist and be on your way to a smile you are proud of.
