Invisalign®

If you want a discreet way to straighten your teeth, Invisalign® may be just the solution. Invisalign®, sometimes called “invisible braces,” actually uses a series of clear, plastic trays (instead of braces) to realign the teeth. When worn as directed, the Invisalign® system can straighten your teeth in as little as 18 months.

Laser Gum Recontouring

Using the Diode Laser, we can reshape the gums and create the appearance of a longer tooth in less than five seconds, without bleeding. By removing excess gum tissue, we can expose more of the enamel and produce a fuller, brighter smile. Contact our cosmetic dentistry office for more information on this option.

Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is used to improve the appearance of teeth marred by minor chips, cracks, discoloration, or gaps between the teeth. The bonding material is composed of either plastic or resin, which is bonded to the surface of the tooth to conceal flaws. Bonding is a relatively inexpensive way to create an aesthetically pleasing and vibrant smile, without removing much, if any, of the tooth structure.

Composite Fillings

Composite fillings are a strong, safe, and natural-looking alternative to metal (amalgam) fillings. These fillings are composed of a white plastic substance and a hardening agent. Unlike metallic fillings, composite fillings strengthen the tooth, blend flawlessly with the enamel, and preserve the natural tooth structure as much as possible.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays are composite fillings (restorations) used in the back teeth. These restorations are crafted of tooth-colored porcelain that is sculpted to fill a cavity (onlays cover the top part of the tooth as well), thereby strengthening the tooth. These restorations are usually custom-made in an off-site dental lab, in which case it takes two office visits to place the restoration, although, when appropriate, we can craft CEREC® single-visit inlays and onlays. Aesthetic Smiles of New Jersey uses iTero™ digital impressions to fit patients for inlays and onlays; this advanced piece of equipment that makes the procedure quicker and more comfortable than ever before.

Non-invasive Wrinkle Eraser

Incredible but true, porcelain veneers can improve the appearance of the lower third of the face – where wrinkles can be quite noticeable – by manipulating the width and size of teeth and filling out the upper lip area. Instead of spending weeks recovering from plastic surgery, you can enjoy a more youthful, natural-looking appearance with fewer wrinkles, plumper lips, and a beautiful, balanced smile, thanks to cosmetic dentistry.

Implant Dentistry

When a patient is missing a tooth (or several teeth), we often recommend implant dentistry, one of the most advanced tooth-replacement options available. Dental implants work by anchoring artificial replacement teeth (dentures, crowns, and bridges) directly to the jawbone. Unlike tooth-supported restorations, they do not slip or slide, so patients can enjoy incredible self-confidence, laughing, speaking, and eating without having to worry about an unstable artificial tooth. The primary benefit of implant dentistry in the context of restorative dentistry is that it allows a dentist to completely restore functionality to the tooth. Implant-supported restorations look and feel indistinguishable from natural teeth and, often, a patient is able to enjoy oral functionality as good as or better than it was before the tooth was lost.

Dental Crowns

When a tooth is cracked, broken, chipped, or badly decayed, a dental crown may be the best solution. A dental crown is used to protect and cover a damaged tooth to restore its functionality. Crowns can also be used to cover dental implants or to cover a tooth after root canal therapy. When appropriate, Aesthetic Smiles of New Jersey provides beautiful porcelain crowns that look so realistic that we can use them in cosmetic dentistry for a smile makeover. To craft crowns, we use iTero™ technology, an advanced piece of equipment that eliminates the need for messy trays and provides an incredibly comfortable fit. For more information on reconstructive dentistry with dental crowns, contact our Morris County, New Jersey office today.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are one of the more common tooth-replacement options. Bridges have the advantage of being an attractive yet relatively inexpensive option for replacing a missing tooth (or a few missing teeth). Bridges anchor an artificial tooth between the surrounding natural teeth, restoring the patient’s oral functionality. Aesthetic Smiles of New Jersey utilizes iTero™ technology for bridge placement, which makes being fitted for a bridge incredibly quick and comfortable. If you are considering tooth-replacement with dental bridges, contact our office to schedule a complimentary consultation.

Gum Disease Prevention

Gum disease, or periodontal disease, is a potentially dangerous disease that threatens many Americans; some statistics indicate that over 70 percent of persons over the age of 40 have the disease. The best solution for gum disease is to prevent the disease altogether. Toward this end, Dr. Ed Romano and Dr. Matthew Vaccaro provide regular dental cleanings and exams. We also advise patients on proper dental hygiene; to prevent gingivitis, patients should follow a balanced diet and brush and floss daily.

Mouth Rinses

Many people consider fresh breath to be an indicator of one’s health and vivacity. Mouth rinses can be an effective tool for maintaining a clean and fresh-feeling mouth, particularly when a person is unable to brush and floss as regularly as he or she should. Dr. Ed Romano and Dr. Matthew Vaccaro provide FDA-monitored cosmetic and therapeutic mouth rinses.
