What kind of new technology do you have to detect cavities at the smallest and earliest stages so that I can avoid shots?

Tooth decay often develops beneath the surface and is often undetectable by x-rays or probing. Our office uses a new technology that detects hidden decay where it can be eliminated in the early stages. It's called DIAGNOdent which scans your teeth with a harmless and painless laser light. THIS TECHNOLOGY IS GREAT ALL TYPES OF PATIENTS.

Does the In-Office-Whitening make my teeth extremely white?

Our In-Office-Whitening is a great procedure for removing all the yellow stains that you have built up over the years. The whitening will not color your teeth white, it will remove stains that are already there, and your natural tooth color will be your results. If you have grey tones in your teeth, then the whitening may not work for you, but we recommend coming in for a consultation to have your breath tested for only $15.00 by mentioning our website. This is a $65.00 dollar value to you. Dr. Schefdore will let you know your options and you can decide from that point on what you would like to do. We don't want anyone to waste their time or money on a procedure that will give little results.

Do I have to make an appointment months in advance for cosmetic work?

In our office, we try our hardest to make your appointments as convenient as possible. We can usually make you an appointment within the week that you call. You will never have to wait a month to get in our office. We recommend for early morning appointments that you schedule as soon as possible, because that is a favorite time. Lastly, you can schedule an appointment as late as a few months in advance, if that works out best for you and if you know your schedule that well. When we schedule you, you are the only patient appointed at that time.

A. You’ll receive just enough sedation so that you’ll be completely unaware of the treatment, as if it were a dream.

Q. Will I remember anything?

A. At the end of the treatment, you’ll have little or no memory of your dental visit.

Q. Will I be groggy after my treatment is over?

A. You will feel just fine. For your safety, we do require that you have a family member or trusted friend drive you home and stay with you for a few hours.

Q. Is Sedation Dentistry safe for me?

A. Before starting any treatment, we review your medical history completely to determine if you are candidate.

Q. Will my insurance cover treatment?

A. We’ll review your insurance coverage before the appointment, if necessary, we will make financial arrangements to insure you get the dental care you need.
